Gear up for Game Week 2024 – where the magic of gaming unfolds! It’s not just an event; it’s a synergy of video game partners, immersive tech, and esports in Breda. Our goal? An annual gaming celebration uniting industry leaders, talents, tech, and capital to elevate our video game scene.

Since its debut in 2023, Playgrounds has been the driving force behind the Game Week in Breda. This dynamic event brings together key players in Breda’s gaming industry, part of an (inter)national hub for applied technology and creativity.
Breda is home to over 4,000 students studying video games, immersive content, esports, digital art, and related areas. Notably, BUas’s Creative Media and Game Technologies program is globally recognized and ranked in the top three for video game education.

Game Week immerses Breda in game art, development, publishing, esports, serious gaming, and immersive tech and attracts a diverse audience. From indie developers and larger studios to investors, students, and families. It is a unique platform where these groups connect, learn from one another, and strengthen Breda’s thriving gaming community. Its robust professional program for industry experts is complemented by a public program of workshops, expos, and, of course, games. In short, for everyone in the industry and anyone who loves gaming, Breda Game Week is the place to be!
