Rex is a video game director, designer & artist, who originally studied graphic design, before he stumbled into the world of video games. He worked initially at Lionhead Studios before leaving to help his friends to form the studio Media Molecule, and to create their LittleBigPlanet games.
He was named BAFTA’s ‘Breakthrough Brit’ in 2013 and the following year won three BAFTAs for his work creating the novel, hand-crafted and playful visual style on the game, Tearaway.
Through his own indie games studio, Foam Sword, he released Knights and Bikes, a game inspired by childhood in Cornwall, UK – which received industry acclaim, garnering glowing reviews and scooping awards.
More recently, Rex was chosen as art director for the newest entry in the legendary Monkey Island game series, cementing a legacy of bringing innovative, distinctive and heartfelt art and design to the world of video games.
